"Side to Side" is a song recorded by American singer Ariana Grande, released on August 30, 2016 as the third single for her studio album, Dangerous Woman (2016).[1]The reggae-pop song features guest vocals from Trinidadian-American rapper Nicki Minaj. Its producers Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh co-wrote the song with Savan Kotecha, Alexander Kronlund, Grande and Minaj.[2]
The song has reached a peak of number 4 on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart, becoming her first top ten single from Dangerous Woman in the latter and first top five single from the album in the former. It also reached number 3 on the Australian charts and number 2 in the New Zealand charts. Its music video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, made its premiere on American clothing brand Guess's website on August 28, 2016.
Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj performed "Side to Side" at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards and the American Music Awards. Grande has also promoted the song with televised performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
