Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Despite its name, it is the fifteenth installment in the Battlefield series, and the first main entry in the series since Battlefield 4.[1] Battlefield 1 is also the first World War I video game published by Electronic Arts since Wings of Glory in 1994. The game was released worldwide forMicrosoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 21, 2016.
Upon release, Battlefield 1 received very positive reviews by critics and was seen as an improvement over previous installmentsBattlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline, with most praise given to its World War I theme, multiplayer modes, visuals and single-player campaign.
